Our panel of film judges worked very hard reviewing each of the 23 films that were completed as a part of this year’s Cleveland 48HFP Horror Project. Their hours of deliberation culminated in the announcement of the award-winning films at last week’s Awards Ceremoney. Special thanks to this year’s Horror Project judges

We would like to extend a special thanks to this year’s Horror Project judges for lending us their time and expertise in making this year’s competition a success for all of our filmmakers.

Trish Clark-Trish has been working production for the past 20 years.  Her body of work ranges from public access television shows, VH1’s 8-Track Flashback, Legends & the 100 Greatestseries to the Emmy Award winning Rosie O’Donnell Show. After working in New York for years she ventured back home to Connecticut and took on the tasks of fundraising & development work for artistic non-profits.  That then lead to being the New Haven 48HFP Producer and onto making music videos, TV commercials, documentaries, shorts & feature films.  While creating these various works, Trish is also the Supervising Producer of ITVFest, the original public festival and network for the world’s best independent television pilots, webseries, and short films.

Kevin Kelly-Kevin is a staple in the Cleveland arts and entertainment community. Best known for his work in theatre, Kevin has worked at The Cleveland Playhouse, Playhouse Square, the Idea Center, Beck Center for the Arts, Lakeland Theatre, and Near West Theatre, where he also does work in advertising sales and in theatre administration. For the past few years, he has grown a large body of writing as a theatre critic through his blog TPOGraphy.com. He has since been named the official theatre critic of the Cleveland Stage Alliance. On film, Kevin had a featured role in the film “Edge of Seventeen” opposite “Orange Is The New Black” actress Lea DeLaria, and was also featured in the documentary “Move On!”, which premiered at the most recent Cleveland International Film Festival.

Tom Ryan-Tom is a Jersey City filmmaker who has had a lifelong passion for horror films. He nurtured that passion by filming backyard VHS films, drawing his own slasher-comic series titled “Midnight”, and religiously collecting every issue of Fangoria. With a handful of childhood friends that share in his taste for the macabre,  Tom put together an independent production company called “Theatre of Terror”. With a mission to make quality low budget independent horror, they launched their first short film “Day 9” before beginning work on feature film “FACES”, which won Audience Choice Best Feature, Best Soundtrack, and a Best Actor Award at the New York Horror Show/Macabre Faire Film Festival. In addition to film work, Tom is also the lead singer and bass player for the band “Vlad the Inhaler.”
